Windows Development Preview

SataLite 0.3.0 and SataLight 0.7.0, build windows-product-refinement-20261009-06. Each product matches its macOS version and uses the same repaired source snapshot.

These experimental x64 VST3 builds are unsigned and not qualified customer releases. Windows may show origin or reputation notices. Keep Windows security enabled; if blocked, stop and contact support. Keep backups and do not depend on previews for critical sessions.

In This Update

Twelve new curated recipes share the same processing in both editions. Legacy presets remain available without rewriting saved sounds. SataLight adds reorganized Shape, Routing and Analyze workspaces while retaining its illuminated controls and visualizations. Edited presets keep their name and an asterisk. These are original digital effects, not claims of analog-hardware emulation.

Availability

SataLite is free. Select Windows on the product page. SataLight is available to existing license holders through the recovery link in your purchase receipt. New preview sales are disabled.

Requirements

Windows 10/11 x64, a compatible 64-bit VST3 host, and Microsoft Visual C++ v14 x64 Redistributable 14.44 or newer. The free runtime is available from Microsoft's official download page. These are effects, not standalone applications. Audio Unit and 32-bit-only hosts cannot load them.

Manual Installation

  1. Save your session and quit all music hosts and plugin scanners.
  2. Extract the complete ZIP. Move any previous complete copy of the matching plugin folder to a backup outside all VST3 scan locations.
  3. Copy the complete SataLite.vst3 or SataLight.vst3 folder, not just its internal binary, into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Common\VST3.
  4. Add that location to your host's VST3 scan paths if necessary. Avoid duplicate user/system installations, including C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Never merge old and new plugin folders.
  5. Reopen your host, rescan VST3, and insert the effect. Verify version 0.3.0 for SataLite or 0.7.0 for SataLight.

The included optional installer verifies payload and runtime requirements and preserves upgrade backups. Manual folder copying does not require running it. Do not use a generic uninstaller or bypass Windows security warnings.

Preview Limits

Coherent concurrent state operations, complete named-host workflows, high-resolution frame timing and clean-customer installation remain qualification gates. A native development-machine check is not certification of every Windows version, graphics driver or music host.

Drive controls intensity, not dry/wet blend. Mix 0% is dry, 100% is wet, and 50% applies equal linear coefficients, not necessarily equal perceived loudness. Wet retains the source fundamental. Edited factory presets retain their name with an asterisk.

Restore a Previous Build

Save and quit your host. Move the preview folders outside scan locations, restore your complete backed-up folders to their original paths, then reopen and rescan. Preserve unrelated plugins and keep the new folders separately if needed for diagnosis.
